Constitutional review confirmed; Matariki on the table

The Maori Party has signed a new agreement with the National Party. The Constitutional Review features. The reporting back date for the constitutional advisory committee is now September 2013.


Interestingly, there is also a clause for "A cultural heritage bill to recognise Matariki/Puanga, and to honour the peacemaking heritage established at Parihaka." The National Party will support a Bill to select committee on the issue. We just have to convince them to replace Queen's Unbirthday.
