Equal rights for females!
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the succession debate could be reopened once more, with the Sovereign Grant Bill including a equality provision that will - gasp - make females equal to males. While such a radical idea fights its way through the House of Lords, it seems the issue could be back on the table.
With the Queen attending CHOGM in Perth later this month, it's likely that the leaders of the Commonwealth realms will be discussing the issue at some stage, as they did at the last CHOGM. Our Prime Minister has indicated that New Zealand will support the changes, whatever they are.
The irony is that it seems the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom won't be backing making the changes. They're simply too politically risky for him to push.

Agree 100% There should be equal opportunity for all races, genders and religions!
We have a maori, pacifica, ethnic and womens ministry! But not one for men so I agree with it 100%
...you forgot Youth, Veterans and "Aged".
Personally I agree with you Col, we've got something of ministry sprawl in New Zealand, it's as if without TPK of Pacific Affairs those groups wouldn't have any representation, which is nonsense. However that's not the position of the Republican Movement, which stays out of such matters.
