Governor-General Bill: amendments defeated

As quickly as they went up, they came down. Keith Locke's proposed amendments to the Governor-General Bill were prevented from being considered as they were out of the Bill's scope. Never mind - now that there will be a Governor-General Act 2010 on the books, we can work towards finding a MP to put up a members Bill to change the way the Governor-General is appointed.
