Ratana: put the Treaty in the constitution, then become a republic

Radio New Zealand reports:

"Andre Meihana says politicians visiting Ratana Pa will be told of the need for constitutional reform.

He says Tahupotiki Wiremu Ratana had a prophecy for constitutional reform, cementing the role of the Treaty of Waitangi, before the country would become a Republic.

Maori Affairs Minister Pita Sharples has already announced a three year constitutional review, including an examination of the Treaty's role."
