I find they just make me annoyed. Even though I currently live in the UK, I don't consider them to be relecvant to either daily life, or politics.
I admit to seeing the Queen's xmas message... it was very British-centric.
What is the purpose of the Christmas message anyway? Do her realms, like New Zealand, only deserve to hear from the Queen of New Zealand once a year, and on a holiday too?!
Really, if she was such a great head-of-state as monarchists like to proclaim, she would be talking to New Zealanders about issues affecting New Zealanders directly.
