Democratic choices

The idea of having a republic in New Zealand is not new but if you seriously consider the progress in this direction since the 1984 elections you will realise that New Zealand already is becoming a republic- The systematic plundering of the investments of many generations has transferred equities away from the general population and the Corporations have more resources than the average man to defend any proposed actions in court relating to this

A Corporate Republic not dissimilar to America is well under way- the reasonable rights and expectations of us investors in these properties has been replaced with G.S.T so that property which you once owned is now someone elses

To me Privatisation is and was a Crimminal act which is best outlined in The Crimes Act 1961 section 243 [money laundering] but under our system the offenders are unable to be bought to justice as they are in control of the judiciary etc

Voting effectively conveys "ownership" rather than Administration of Generations of the investments of the people of NZ to a minority group or party- irrespective of wether that group are just another bunch of bitchy backbiting transients contracted to serve in positions of trust or not

The electoral system has been "hijacked" to effectively confer ownership of Generations of NZrs investments and we are now given Hobson's choice on this.

In knowing the need for Government Style representation- we vote but (because of a lack of honour) that Vote now confers Ownership rather than administration and the parties treat us like retards because we trust them and they know we shouldn't- Genuine (informed) consent is not present -there are no choices

Wars have been initiated over rights to property- so it seems a little retarded to vote to confer "ownership" to any group that cannot be held accountable once elected. Pretty stupid to have to address the twits as honorable or right honorable if the facts don't stack up as well

My understanding of democracy is that you have choices- "Hobson's Choice" does not qualify

I'm not sure what this has to do with republicanism in New Zealand. Please read our terms of use.

I believe that it matters little if one chooses a republic or a monarchy- what really matters more is that honour is present for "Rule of Law" to work

That there is significant evidence that honour or accountability are not present at Government level- within the current structure- should be of concern to "all of us"- so I can see exactly "why" the thread titled "Democratic choices" was posted- we are all in the same boat- It matters little who is at the helm if we are simply going round and round in circles using up all the fuel
