"Our way"

Brilliant letter to the editor in today's New Zealand Herald, commenting on Jim Hopkins' nonsense from Friday:

Jim Hopkins' article on the US presidential inauguration and why New Zealand shouldn't become a republic highlights the incredibly witless reasoning some people have towards New Zealand becoming a republic.

When New Zealand becomes a republic it will be about us growing up as a nation and casting off our inferiority complex that people like Hopkins seem to want to engender. This means not worrying what other countries do. We will do things our way - the New Zealand Way.
