This is the book of the Building the Constitution conference considered the whole range of constitutional issues but included a full session titled 'Who should be the Head of State?' Papers were prepared by Dr Janine Hayward (Otago University), Dr Andrew Ladley (Victoria University of Wellington) and Prof Cheryl Saunders (University of Melbourne). All are available on the conference web site along with a speech given at the conference dinner that included significant references to republicanism.
