Monarchists resort to name-calling... again
When they're not attacking Peter Dunne, Jim Bolger or Marie Hasler for their Irish heritage, or pointing out that Keith Locke has left-wing views, the Monarchist League entertain themselves by name-calling. The most recent example of this is a video on the league posted on YouTube, using the Republican Movement's logo (a breach of copyright, by the way) under the word "rubbish".
Unfortunately YouTube takes a dim view on people propagating what amounts to hate speech, so we have complained to the site administrators. If the Monarchist League want to defend the monarchy, that is their right. However, childish name-calling has no place in serious constitutional debate. Doing so only goes to tar all monarchists as childish and without a good argument to make.
