NZ Herald poll: 27% republic, 38% monarchy, 36% undecided

The New Zealand Herald reports on polling that has found:

Twenty-seven per cent of people supported New Zealand becoming a republic, behind 38 per cent of people who opposed the idea - 36 per cent of people were unsure.

This is in contrast with polling recently by TVNZ showing up to 50% support for the monarchy. This polling clearly shows a greater percentage of NZers are undecided on the issue, which is more in line with what we’ve been seeing and hearing since September.
